When will you stop believing the lies?
IDENTITY - Truth vs Lies Beloved, stop speaking negatively about who you are in God. Stop speaking contrary to what God says about you and who He says you are because it's a never-ending battle keeping you from walking in God's purpose for your life. Imagine if Jesus denied being the Son of God and the Son of man. When God - the Father validated his son by saying "this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17), what if Jesus didn't believe him? Your identity in Christ Jesus is about the relationship you have with him. When you're in a relationship with someone you identify with them. When you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit empowers you to recognize who you are in Christ. When you believe God is your creator you begin to identity with Him. When you believe God is your Abba and recognize Him as your Heavenly Father above all things you begin to identify with Him. Imagine being a parent and your son or daughter who looks like you and has mannerisms like you, continues to deny they look like you and has similar character traits. As a parent it may hurt, it may sting, and you may start to have a certain attitude towards your child because they're denying their identity, and in a sense, relation to you. Do you think it hurts God when you say something you are not when God says you are? When you say you're not good-looking or you magnify a flaw you believe that keeps you from believing you are worthy of love, do you know God says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)? When you say you aren't a creative person, do you know God the creator of the heavens and earth (Psalm 146:6) has placed creative ideas and solutions to problems in his sons and daughters to fulfill his kingdom agenda? When you deny the very thing God has placed on the inside of you, you're denying your creator and that you are made in His image (Genesis 1:27). How much longer will you believe the lies? Whether it's you, telling yourself these things, or if it's something you've been rehearsing in your mind for decades of what your father or mother said, or if it's coming from people around you and in your ear. When will you start believing the truth? When will you start believing what the Lord God says? Let go of the fear and embrace your identity in Christ Jesus. It's critical for you to start believing God's word is true and what He says about you. It's vital for you to meditate on God's word (Psalm 119:15) for you to overcome the challenges you are facing. It's significant for you to walk in the calling and purpose God has ordained for your life. Will you choose to live in the will of God despite the challenges or will you decide not to because of fear? It's your choice... what will you decide?
